Registered Nurse- ER/ ICU
GEN.
JOB DUTIES:
Provides nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process, coordinates care with other department staff, assessment, triage, reassessment, medication administration using barcode reader, collection of primary health information, performs EKG EQUIPMENT:
All life support equipment, Aleris smart pumps, Cardiac monitoring, Chest tube, bladder scanners, ventilators, computers for documentation, Pyxis (med dispensing machine) SKILLS/
Experience:
Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills, knowledge of trauma, cardiac, respiratory and orthopedic injuries in adults and children.
Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
Must be comfortable with the insertion of IC.
Foley, NG tubes.
Comfortable assisting with procedures including but not limited to:
intubation and management of intubated patients.
EPIC electronic health record experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of CMS core options, EMTALA, HIPPA, HCAHPS are helpful.
LICENSURES:
MI RN license, ACLS, PALS, BLS required.
TNCC desirable SHIFT:
Mostly PM and night.
No call required.
FLOATING:
ER/ICU BED SIZE:
3 NURSE TO PATIENT RATIO:

2 generally DRESS CODE:
scrubs (any color) Qualification/Certification:
MI RN license ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC (preferred but not required) Min.
Experience :
1-3 yr.
